Does caffeine content differ from coffee variety to variety?
A:
Yes. While robusta coffees have roughly twice the caffeine of arabicas, even more interesting is the existance of a rare but naturally occuring arabica with half the caffeine of even other arabicas. The bean has an elongated shape and is described has having high acicidty and pleasant flavor. This natural half-caf is currently being harvested, but not yet in commercial quantities.
